Hey guys its Chef Ben here. I was asked to write a short bio about who I am so you all could know a little more about me. Well, I am a native Texan born and bred. After graduating from South Garland High in 1997, I went and spent 2 years in college. I realized that wasn’t for me so I gave Uncle Sam four years of my life and served in the United States Army. ARMY PRIDE!!! After getting an honorable discharge, I came back home and went to on to manage a Chick-fil-A for 3 years. I realized that my love for cooking became more and more prevalent in my life so I decided to use my GI Bill and I went back to school full time to perfect my cooking skills. Le Cordon Bleu here I come! I graduated there and went on to become Executive Chef at Christian Care Center in Mesquite and loved every minute of it. Now it was time to branch out on my own. Buttermilks came a-calling. We opened Buttermilk’s in the summer of 2013 and since we have become something of a popular place in East Texas. With the help of a great staff and wonderful food — oh and don’t forget you guys, our amazing customer base — we now are number one in East Texas for casual dining. So with that being said, I am proud to serve you all in Canton, TX and all of you who visit from places elsewhere. Y’all have a blessed day and KEEP ON COOKING!!!
My name is Kristi Risner I am the Marketing/Specials Events Coordinator and Front of the House Manager at Buttermilks. I have grown with the company for 2 years. I am just an average mom with a very busy life. I am passionate about my position at Buttermilks. I am happily married to my best friend. I have been blessed with an amazing son and daughter. I live my life in a way that others may see Christ shine through me.
Kitchen and Wait Staff
Our cooks and waiters are the best!
They’d clearly prefer to be serving you than to be getting their picture taken. But we’ll catch a photo soon!
